Eddie Hearn hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Anthony Joshua fighting UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
The last few weeks have been pretty crazy for Ngannou. He beat Stipe Miocic to finally win the UFC heavyweight title, he’s been in negotiations over a superfight against Jon Jones and has had a pretty hectic media schedule.
Francis Ngannou – the boxer?
Ngannou recently made it clear that his original goal was to become a professional boxer. While he clearly has his hands full in MMA right now, ‘The Predator’ hasn’t ruled out the possibility of pursuing a heavyweight showdown against the likes of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury in the future.
During a recent appearance on The Ak & Barak Show, the aforementioned Hearn was asked about whether Joshua vs Ngannou could happen.

“AJ wants to be the best, but he also wants to do different things once he meets his goals – so a fight with Francis Ngannou isn’t impossible.”
“We almost had a presser with Dillian Whyte and him [Ngannou], but the UFC shut that down after we taped it. We do have the footage, though.
“I would love to see a double matchup with Ngannou and Dillian Whyte. One in the cage and one out of it. Ditto for [Katie] Taylor and [Amanda] Nunes.”
Whyte may currently be focused on trying to land a fight against Deontay Wilder but beyond that, a two-fight deal with Ngannou could have some legs to it.
Dillian is known for being a former kickboxer and also has a 1-0 pro mixed martial arts record thanks to a knockout win over Mark Stroud back in 2008.
Alas, while Whyte would serve as an interesting challenge for Ngannou, AJ is the real money fight at some point down the road.
