The Europa League Final takes place on Wednesday between Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers, and we have all the information you need ahead of the match, including the UK start time.
Rangers have become the first Scottish club to contest a final of a European competition since 2008. On that occasion, Walter Smith led the Gers to the showpiece event against Zenit St Petersburg, which the Russian side won 2-0.
A total of 14 years on, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has taken his team back to the big time. Remarkably, it is just 10 years since Rangers were playing in the fourth division of Scottish football.
They defeated RB Leipzig 3-2 on aggregate in the semi-final to book their place in Seville. John Lundstram’s winning goal broke the roof off Ibrox and resulted in a celebration – and noise – that is practically unmatched in football.
Meanwhile, their opponents, Eintracht Frankfurt, defeated West Ham 3-1 on aggregate to reach Seville.
Whilst the German outfit have not enjoyed an impressive Bundesliga season – they ended the campaign in 11th place and failed to win any of their last eight games – they have been excellent in Europe.
Forward Daichi Kamada is the fourth-highest goalscorer in the Europa League this season, with five goals. Rangers defender James Tavernier leads the way with seven.
Fans are now all set for a thrilling and high-octane contest. Here is all you need to know:
