F1: 2023 car launch dates for every team

As the 2023 F1 season draws ever closer, here are the confirmed car launch dates for every team on the grid.

Although it feels like a long time to fans, F1 teams actually have a short turnaround in which to produce a new car. After the chequered flag in Abu Dhabi, each outfit has just a few months to prepare for the first test of the next campaign.

But that does not stop car launches being an exciting time for all within the F1 community. As drivers take off the vehicle’s cover for the first time, fans and experts alike get the chance to analyse every single bit of a new racer. For some, this means judging how nice the paint scheme looks.

Meanwhile, others enjoy studying the technical changes that engineers may have made in order to find some extra speed.

Whatever your preference, F1 car launches are an unmissable part of the sport’s off-season. So, here are the dates for every single one in 2023.

31 January – 7 February 2023

The first team to launch their car for the 2023 F1 season is none other than Haas. F1’s only American outfit are revealing what the VF-23 will look like on 31 January.

There is then a three-day wait before the next team unveils the fruits of their labour. Reigning constructors’ champs Red Bull will launch their 2023 challenger on 3 February at a ceremony in New York.

 Will their cost cap penalties have an impact on the performance of this year’s package? We will have to wait and see.

After Red Bull, Williams will reveal their car on 6 February, with Alfa Romeo following suit a day later.

8-16 February 2023

Excited F1 fans must wait until 11 February before getting to see another 2023 car launch. This time, AlphaTauri will showcase their latest charger for Nyck de Vries and Yuki Tsunoda.

Two days later (13 February), Aston Martin will unveil Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso’s machine for the upcoming season. McLaren have also decided to launch the MCL37 on the same day, via their YouTube channel. So, make sure you are ready for 13 February, folks.

Ferrari then tap into the romantic side of their Italian heritage by bringing out their 2023 car on Valentine’s Day. Hopefully, the Tifosi will be able to fall in love with a championship-winning vehicle from Maranello this year.

Finally, Mercedes will show their hopeful title-winner on 15 February, with Alpine being the last on the grid to reveal their car on 16 February.

When is F1’s pre-season testing in 2023?

Formula 1 has a three-day test period scheduled at the Sakhir International Circuit in Bahrain. Here, teams will be able to identify technical gremlins and put their new cars through their paces.

The test sessions will take place from 23-25 February – with track access available to teams for the whole day.

One week later, it will be lights out in Bahrain as the 2023 season begins at the same track.
