Football fans around the world have given their thoughts on the supposed fall of Barcelona after they signed Luuk de Jong.
Last night as the summer transfer window came to a close, Barcelona were in the midst of the madness as Antoine Griezmann made his way back over to Atletico Madrid from the Nou Camp. It brought an end to a spell for the Frenchman that many considered to be slightly underwhelming as he now returns to the home of the Spanish champions in the capital.
What comes next for Ronald Koeman?
In his place, Barca have announced the loan signing of Luuk de Jong from Sevilla as the 31-year-old prepares to serve as the new leading man for a Barcelona side that quite clearly has an entirely new identity.
With Martin Braithwaite also still featuring up top for the club and Lionel Messi departing for Paris Saint-Germain, it goes without saying that fans of all different teams are starting to believe this could be the beginning of the end for Barcelona on the elite European stage.

We preferred to get Kevin Boateng, Martin Braithwaite and Luuk de Jong while letting homegrown players like Abel Ruiz and Alex Collado and even Rey Manaj leave for peanuts.

There’s no way of knowing for sure whether or not this new project is going to be a success or failure, but for the time being, supporters aren’t happy.
