EXCLUSIVE: Fedor Gorst has opened up about what it’s like to play pool against Joe Rogan.
The former world champion is currently representing Team Rest of the World against Team Asia in a clash of two stacked line-ups in the Reyes Cup in Manila, Philippines.
Fedor Gorst says Joe Rogan is a fantastic pool player
Currently, Fedor Gorst fans around the world are sitting in front of their TVs hoping their hero can help guide his team to glory in the Filipino capital. And one man who’s sure to be catching all the action is none other than Joe Rogan, who’s had the icon on his podcast on two occasions.
During his visits to the studio in Texas, Gorst reveled in the opportunity to play against the podcaster, who impressed him with his skills.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, the American said: “Joe Rogan is actually a really good player. I’ve been on his podcast twice already. If you want to compare him and give him some sort of ranking, there is a Fargo rating in our pool world, and I think he is a 650 Fargo rating, which means he can probably break and run a game of nine-ball.
“He’s playing a lot of pool, much more than people think he does. He’s a pool fan, he’s got a lot of different cues, he’s got two pool tables in his studio, one in his house, he’s always around the game, and it’s great to have him in our sport.”
Fedor Gorst believes Team Rest of the World can win The Reyes Cup
After day one of the Reyes Cup, Team Rest of the World are 4-0 down against a formidable Team Asia, who are producing an exceptional standard of pool.
However, the brilliance on display from his rivals has come as no major surprise to Gorst, who knows exactly what he’s up against, having fallen short against Carlo Biado in the 2025 World Championship final.
In addition, during a trip to the Philippines when he was just 15, the future superstar realised just how magnificent the players are in this area of the world.
He reminisced: “I came here in 2015, with a pool-playing buddy with no expectations, I came here to gain experience and play with the locals. I was actually playing with a lot of the Reyes Cup players from Team Asia, including Johann Chua. [I also played] Roberto Gomez.
“I remember I had $3000 that I brought with me, and I had a plan that if I lose, at least I lose $100 or $200 a day. I think I was on my last barrel on day four or five. So, it wasn’t the trip I planned in my mind, but the experience was great.”
However, as phenomenal as his rivals are, Gorst hasn’t lost hope that his team is capable of getting itself back into the competition.
The 25-year-old enthused: “Team Asia is really strong. They’re really dominating this year. It’s really tough. I think we’re going to come back and win; there’s a lot of pool to play. Same as yesterday, I think we’re the favourites today. We had a good meeting last night before we went to sleep, which I think is great. Everybody needs to keep the faith, and I think we can do great things.”
