If losing 6-0 wasn’t bad enough in its own right, Derby fans also had to deal with this little sprinkling of magic.
Torres hit the back of the net twice in the game, this one coming after a naughty nutmeg and trademark turn of pace, before a beautifully executed twist inside a defender and a left-footed finish.

During a domestic tie with Arsenal, in which the aggregate stood at 1-1, the born striker stepped up.
Proving he carried the power to match his skills, he smashed the ball into the net to send his club into the next round.
