It has been confirmed that at least four new skill moves will be added to FIFA 22.
A preview event took place on Tuesday for the newest edition to the FIFA series, with members of the press receiving details on gameplay improvements and new additions.
One of the new additions is the inclusion of four new skill moves.
And whilst there is currently no information about how these moves will be pulled off in-game, the identity of each move has been revealed.
FIFA players will now be able to perform the ‘First Time Spin’, ‘Four Touch Skill’, ‘Scoop Turn Fake’ and ‘Skill Bridge’.
A prominent FIFA-based Twitter user, @FIFA22_Daily, posted the names of all four skill moves last week.
They also tweeted a video that shows Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior performing one of the moves in-game.
Vinicius can be seen attempting to scoop the ball past the legs of one Atletico Madrid defender before skipping left and bypassing a second defender.
We await details on which skill move level will be needed for players to perform the new moves.
What other new or improved gameplay features will be in FIFA 22?
EA revealed earlier in July that FIFA 22 will be the first game in the series to use HyperMotion technology.
Their official website says that the technology “elevates every match across every mode on FIFA 22”.
EA have used advanced 11v11 motion capture to create an “unprecedented volume of high-quality real-human movement data”.
There are also improvements to tactical AI in both defence and attack.
Aerial battles have been improved using enhanced two player interaction technology, and there are longer two-touch ball animations that make “controlling the ball more natural and fluid than ever before”.
Player humanization has also been enhanced. Off-the-ball player animations have improved, and players will talk and point to each other.
