Harry Maguire may have signed a new contract at Manchester United, but the former Red Devils’ captain isn’t done making demands.
The England international recently penned a new one-year deal at Old Trafford, which will most likely ensure the 33-year-old a return to Champions League football.
United currently sit in third place in the Premier League table. Following Arsenal’s victory over Sporting Club in midweek, English clubs are guaranteed five places in next season’s competition.

With Michael Carrick’s charges seven points ahead of sixth place Chelsea with seven games remaining, they appear well placed to return to European football’s premier competition, next term.
Which is where Harry Maguire’s latest demands come in.
Harry Maguire wants even more investment from INEOS
Last summer, Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS ownership oversaw an unusually productive transfer window at Old Trafford.
Underperformers such as Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho were sent to Napoli and Aston Villa, respectively. Marcus Rashford moved on a season-long loan to Barcelona and £40m was brought in for Alejandro Garnacho.
Coming into Old Trafford were Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha, from Wolves, Brentford forward Bryan Mbuemo, Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško and Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
All of whom have noticeably improved United from the 15th-placed slog of last season under Erik Ten Hag and Ruben Amorim, respectively.
And Maguire wants a repeat of last summer’s window ahead of a potentially much busier 2026/27 campaign.

“We’ve had a great few months under the manager,” Maguire explained to Manchester Evening News.
“I feel like the squad is starting to look like something that is a strong squad. But this summer’s going to be big, really, really big.
“We need more players, we need better quality, we need players to come into the starting eleven.
“I want to win big trophies, I think that’s part of playing for this club,” the former Leicester City defender continued.
“I always say football is about memories and you can create memories by having iconic matches, scoring goals, but the bottom line is you get memories from winning big trophies. I want to be part of that. That’s everyone’s dream.”
United a team transformed under Michael Carrick
Maguire has lifted the FA Cup and Carabao Cup since joining United in 2019. But the Red Devils have not mounted a serious Premier League title challenge since winning the league in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in 2013.

The closest United have come to a league title in the 13 years since Ferguson’s retirement are two distant second place finishes in 2018, under Jose Mourinho, and 2021, under Ole Gunar Solskjaer.
Maguire and his United teammates have undergone a huge momentum shift since Michael Carrick took over as interim manager, in January.
Following Ruben Amorim’s departure, United have taken 23 points from a possible 30, beating top two Manchester City and Arsenal along the way. They now sit comfortably in the top four with only seven games remaining of the Premier League season.
