Amazon Prime Video decided to insert a conversation about Tottenham Hotspur into a show featuring Arsenal legend Thierry Henry – what could possibly go wrong?
The Frenchman is one of the greatest players to ever pull on that red & white shirt and you won’t find a single Gunners fan who disagrees with that. For years he was at the forefront of an incredibly successful side that won league titles, cup trophies and came within inches of lifting the European Cup. While he may have gone on to finally capture the Champions League with Barcelona, the same club that beat Arsenal in the 2006 final, his legacy at the Emirates – and Highbury – is what the fans will remember.
Some rivalries last forever
Henry has enjoyed his time away from the pitch since retiring with plenty of punditry jobs and management roles under his belt. While he usually does a lot of work in England he occasionally returns home to take part in broadcasts for French television, which is exactly what he did yesterday.
However, once they’d gone live, the first mistake was made; they brought up the name “Tottenham Hotspur” to a man who spent years learning to hate Spurs with every fibre of his being.

“It’s the second consecutive loss for Rennes,” one of Henry’s fellow pundits said. “It’s something they have to be worried about, furthermore on Thursday they are facing Tottenham in the Europa League at Roahzon Park-“
Henry quickly shut him down in the most ‘North London derby’ way possible.
“Sorry, who? I don’t know them.“ he said.
Tottenham wound up surrendering a 1-0 lead against Rennes before snatching a late equaliser to earn a point.
