The long-awaited face-off between Iranian Hulk and Kazakh Titan has happened, with the pair squaring off against each other in Dubai.
It’s been a busy year for Iranian Hulk – real name Sajad Gharibi. Earlier this year, a proposed fight against Martyn Ford was promoted, then eventually called off.
He took part in a face-off against strongman Ford in April, in a contest that went very much in favour of the Brit.
After weeks of verbal jibes between the pair, the contest was cancelled. Fans were unsure exactly why this was the case. However, Ford later clarified the decision.
He explained: “I have genuine concerns about his mental health, and how he’s feeling. It is who I am. I can’t fight someone who I genuinely believe can take his own life after the fight.”
What has Iranian Hulk done since the Ford fight postponement?
It hasn’t taken long for the Internet personality to spring back into action. He quickly found a new rival – Kazakh Titan.
The pair know each other, having been involved in several online spats over the years. But after their latest social media duel in April, they will settle their differences in the ring.
In a bizarre Instagram post on his official account, Kazakh Titan – real name Djumanov Almat Bakhytovich – videoed himself cutting pictures of his rival in half. He then began blowing into an Iranian Hulk hot water bottle (we’re not sure either) until it exploded.
He then wrote: “Sajad, you are a coward, come with me Deris I have been waiting for you for 1 year now sign the contract coward.”
The bout will take place on July 31, in an ‘influencer boxing’ event promoted by Wicked N’ Bad. The full card is yet to be confirmed.
Like his opponent, Kazakh Titan has built a strong following on social media. He has posted videos of his boxing training on social media, and to be fair to him, it looks like he can throw a punch. Whether that actually translates to the boxing ring remains to be seen.
Iranian Hulk, Kazakh Titan face off
With the big fight now edging ever nearer, a face-off was scheduled to take place between the pair in Dubai. Iranian Hulk has bad memories of his showdown with Ford. Although this face-off was much more even, there wasn’t really a clear winner.
Instead, Iranian Hulk and Kazakh Titan squared off for roughly two seconds, before shoving each other and trying to start the fight early. Security then managed to break up the scuffle, and the pair were left shouting insults at each other.
When their sanctioned fight eventually commences, Iranian Hulk and Kazakh Titan will only be in the ring for eight minutes, so it will have to be a fast-paced encounter.
In truth, fans aren’t really sure what to expect from this fight – but that does at least make it pretty unpredictable.
