Jake Paul clashes with reporter in heated interview

While Jake Paul is usually the one getting a rise from his opponents, it was he who lost his cool during a fierce encounter with Bomani Jones.

On February 26, the controversial YouTuber will finally settle his long-running rivalry with Tommy Fury. And despite his opponent’s superior experience, many are making Paul the favourite. With the brother of the WBC heavyweight champion falling into shots, purists have spotted an opening for the American’s dynamite right hand.

But despite the likes of Tony Bellew, Carl Frampton and Brendan Schaub branding Paul the favourite, by no means is the contest a foregone conclusion. While Anderson Silva presented a stern test, Fury is the first traditional boxer the social icon has faced, and at 23, he’s in the prime of his life.

Thus the media is beginning to wonder how ‘The Problem Child’ would react to a loss. And by the sounds of it, it wouldn’t go down very well.

Jake Paul kicks off in interview with Bomani Jones

During an appearance on HBO’s Game Theory, what was meant to be a simple discussion, quickly turned sour. After being asked about potentially coming up short in his next bout, Paul responded furiously.

“Um, I don’t plan on losing, you know,” he said.

“I don’t train to lose, maybe I feel like that’s probably like your mindset. You know a lot of people try to project their mindsets on [me]…”

A confused Jones explained that he was not trying to project a mindset on him, but instead wondered whether people will stop watching if Fury beats him.”

Losing his cool, the 26-year-old responded: “They won’t, and I’m gonna be honest, bro, I don’t know who the f**k you are, my PR team set this up.”

A quick-witted Jones, fired back: “Dude, all I know about you is that people don’t like you.”
