Jake Paul makes generous donation to struggling UFC fighter

Jake Paul has put forward a $5,000 donation to UFC fighter Sarah Alpar after she recently started up a GoFundMe.

Paul, outside of his YouTube and boxing exploits, has been pretty vocal about fighter pay over the course of the last few months. ‘The Problem Child’ has made it clear that he doesn’t believe the UFC pays their roster enough which, funnily enough, is a view shared by many members of the media.

The aforementioned Alpar is set to lock horns with Erin Blanchfield later this year but is having some problems with regards to paying for her training camp, as she confirmed in the below statement.

“Thank you and here’s the plan! My heart is in this, I’m working hard, I’m training to be a @ufc champ, and I need your help. Let’s keep this “Too Sweet” train moving full speed ahead. I know we can, I know we can!!” She said on Instagram.

In response, Paul confirmed his donation over social media to the delight of Alpar and her team.

Taking to Twitter, Paul wrote: “SMH… Imagine a rookie in the NBA had to start a GoFundMe to play.. I let Sarah @TOOSWEET_Alpar know she has my support and contribution It’s my honor and privilege to help fellow  fighters in anyway I can”

A person by the name of Lisa Ferguson also decided to drop a huge $25,000 donation to ensure she hit her $30,000 target, with Triller Fight Club later taking credit for that.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see what kind of reaction this prompts because while it may not seem like a big deal to some, this is the kind of money that can change lives for a lot of people – especially in the current UFC climate.

Alpar is set to meet Blanchfield in a flyweight showdown at UFC 266 this September.
