Navajo Stirling cuts Jan Blachowicz at UFC Belgrade

Renowned for his ‘Polish Power’, Jan Blachowicz is used to being the one inflicting devastating knockouts, but tonight, he was on the receiving end.

The fan favourite went head-to-head with Navajo Stirling at UFC Belgrade at the Belgrade Arena in Serbia. At the age of 43, Blachowicz was no match for his opponent.

In a brutal moment, inside the very first round, Stirling landed a monstrous right hand that sent the future UFC Hall of Famer tumbling towards the canvas. The New Zealander proceeded to unleash thunderous punches and elbows, which opened up an enormous cut on Blachowicz’s face.

With the icon completely unable to defend himself, the referee jumped in, awarding Stirling with the biggest victory of his career.

At the end of the contest, a dejected Blachowicz sat on the floor of the octagon, with blood pouring down his face, looking up at the crowd, knowing his time in mixed martial arts is quickly coming to an end.
