Uros Medic slams Leon Edwards after 30-second KO in UFC Belgrade main event

Leon Edwards could have a massive test ahead, as Uros Medic didn’t shy away from calling his name after his victory in the main event of UFC Belgrade.

In front of a partisan crowd, the Serbian produced a spectacular performance to finish Daniel Rodriguez.

Uros Medic says Leon Edwards is hiding from him

Tonight, Uros Medic made a memory that Serbian mixed martial arts fans will never forget.

At the start of his clash with Daniel Rodriguez, things looked worrying when the European warrior was sent tumbling towards the canvas from a powerful leg kick.

However, rather than letting the moment ruin his confidence, Medic bit down on his gumshield, finding a tremendous three-punch combination, followed by a knee, to heavily drop his rival.

Sensing the end was nigh, the power puncher pounced, unleashing brutal ground and pound, which forced the referee to jump in after just 30 seconds.

Following the end of the contest, Medic set his sights firmly on ‘Rocky’.

During his UFC Belgrade post-fight interview, he said: “I asked for Leon Edwards, but I think he’s still in hiding. If he decides to come out of the hole he’s shoved himself into, I’ll gladly be next to knock him out.”

Medic isn’t the only fighter who brought the action this evening.

Navajo Stirling knocked Jan Blachowicz out inside the very first round.

And it isn’t just the devastation of the loss that the Pole has to deal with.

After taking several huge punches, Blachowicz was left with a horrifying cut at UFC Belgrade.
