John Fury gives his opinion on Jake Paul ahead of fight

John Fury has given his thoughts on Jake Paul as the latter prepares to meet Tyron Woodley in a boxing match this weekend.

Paul isn’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea and that much is an understatement, but nobody can deny just how clinical he’s been in his three professional boxing fights up to this point. He hasn’t exactly been going up against elite level competition, as we all know, but in this game you can only beat what’s put in front of you and “The Problem Child” has been doing a pretty solid job of that.

Just how good (or bad) is Jake Paul?

Somebody who knows what success at the highest level in boxing looks like is none other than John Fury, the father of Tyson and Tommy – with the former Love Island star going up against Anthony Taylor on the same card as Paul/Woodley on Sunday.

During a recent panel show for BT Sport, John Fury spoke about Jake Paul and how he views his transition from YouTube to boxing.

“I could actually like that kid,” Fury said. “Because at 24-years-old he’s showing a fantastic mindset and business brain.

“He has calculated words, you don’t see it in kids his age today, do you?

“You know what? I like that kid, I really do, but can he beat Tommy? Definitely not, because what I see in him behind his words and bravado is fear.

“It’s nothing but fear because he knows what’s going to happen to him.”

The Paul vs Woodley pay-per-view goes down in Cleveland this Sunday night.
