Jude Bellingham thinks Harry Kane could win the Ballon d’Or

Throughout the campaign, Harry Kane has been nothing short of sensational, bagging 31 goals in the Bundesliga, and a further 11 in the Champions League, which puts him just behind Kylian Mbappe in the biggest competition in club football.

After scoring against Real Madrid last week in a 2-1 victory, the Englishman will aim to put in another huge performance to bolster his case for winning the Ballon d’Or.

While enemies on the pitch tonight, Jude Bellingham, who plays alongside the striker for England, has lots of praise for his countryman. However, while he thinks the natural-born goal scorer is in the running to officially earn the moniker of being the best player on the planet, the Real Madrid star concedes that his friend still has more to do if he wants to destroy any doubts.

During a press conference, Bellingham explained: “It will depend a lot on the team’s achievements and what he does with England. He’s a fantastic player.

“They’re going to win the Bundesliga, and it hurts because my brother (Jobe Bellingham) plays for Dortmund.

“It’s a source of pride to have him in the English national team, and in these last two or three years, he’s shown how good he is.

“He’s improved; he’s a brilliant striker, and it’s a pleasure to watch him play. Let’s see if he can take this style of play to the World Cup.”

Discussing this evening’s game, Bellingham added: “I hope he doesn’t show up, or that we’re able to stop him.”
