Jurgen Klopp has rendered Liverpool fans devastated by confirming the news that he’ll be stepping down from his managerial role at the end of the season.
After nine successful years in charge at Anfield, the German has decided that it’s time to walk away. In an interview with the club’s official channels, he confessed that he no longer possesses the requisite energy to dedicate himself to such a high-stress job.
The iconic manager joined ‘The Reds’ in October 2015 and solidified his place among the greatest gaffers the Premier League has ever seen. With palpable charisma and a remarkable footballing IQ, he guided the club to a sixth Champions League and their first-ever Premier League title.
In addition, he treated Liverpool fans to a Carabao Cup, an FA Cup and even a Club World Cup trophy. But sadly for the Anfield contingent, all good things come to an end.

After such a legendary stint in charge, the 56-year-old is gutted that his time with the lads has reached its final destination. It’s fair to say the fans love him, and he adores them in equal measure.
In a candid interview, he explained: “I have to [say] I will leave the club at the end of the season. I can understand that it’s a shock for a lot of people in this moment when you hear it for the first time, but obviously, I can explain it or at least try to explain it.

“I’ve loved absolutely everything about this club. I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters. Of course, I love the team. I love the staff. I love everything.”
Klopp continued: “That I still take this decision it shows you that I am convinced it’s the one I have to take. I am running out of energy and I have no problem now, obviously, I think I know it for already longer that I will have to announce it at one point. But I am absolutely fine now, but I also know that I cannot do the job again and again and again.
“And after all the times we’ve had together, after all the time we’ve spent together, the things we went through together, the respect grew for you, the love grew for you, and the least thing I owe you is the truth. And that is the truth.”
