Khabib claims he knew Ronaldo would return to Man United a month before it happened

Khabib Nurmagomedov has said he knew Cristiano Ronaldo would return to Manchester United a month before the transfer even took place.

Over the course of the last decade Khabib Nurmagomedov and Cristiano Ronaldo have emerged as contenders for being the “GOAT” in their respective sports. Khabib retired from mixed martial arts at 29-0 and as UFC lightweight champion, whereas Ronaldo is still going strong as one of the best footballers to ever grace the pitch.

“The Eagle” = the insider?

The last seven days have been quite the whirlwind for football fans across the world after it was revealed CR7 would be returning to Old Trafford to play for Manchester United – twelve years after leaving to join Real Madrid.

In recent times the two men have become quite close friends with Khabib, surprisingly, indicating in a recent interview that he actually knew about Ronaldo’s return to the Red Devils almost a month ago.

“A month ago, he told me that he was moving to Manchester United,” Nurmagomedov said.

“I expected this deal to take place. I think that Manchester United is more suitable for him than Juventus. For me, the transition was not a surprise.”

Given the fact that it seemed likely Ronaldo would be heading to Manchester City just hours before the United news broke, there’s a chance Khabib is working off of suspicion and nothing more here.

Either way, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Russian star pop up at the Theatre of Dreams now that Cristiano is back.
