KSI signs five-year deal with DAZN

KSI is continuing to make waves in the combat sports world with his promotional outfit, Misfits Boxing, putting pen to paper on a five-year agreement with DAZN.

Alongside the likes of Jake Paul, the British YouTube star has helped change the game. While pro boxing struggles to make the match-ups fans want to see, the influencers are taking advantage.

Misfits first worked alongside DAZN, to broadcast the social media icon’s bouts against Swarmz and Luis Alcaraz Pineda. Subsequently, they showed two more of his events, with another going down on Saturday night, with KSI headlining the bill against FaZe Temperrr.

Clearly blown away by the enormous viewing figures, the sports network have committed to a half-decade-long partnership with the 29-year-old.

As part of the business arrangement, KSI will fight exclusively on DAZN. In addition, he will promote at least six Misfits & DAZN: X Series events per year, including two pay-per-view shows.

On January 10, the Brit confirmed the news via social media.

He tweeted: “It’s my absolute pleasure to announce that Misfits Boxing now has a five-year partnership deal with DAZN Boxing.

“It’s always been about the long-term goal, and I’m so glad it’s finally coming into fruition. This is the start of many great things for Misfits Boxing.”

Co-founders of Misfits boxing, Kalle and Nisse Sauerland, also took delight in the news.

Their joint account tweeted: “Amazing from our first meeting on this with you and Mams Taylor [KSI’s manager]… to this… the absolute takeover of this space and we are only eight months old.”

Furthermore, DAZN will hope that this announcement leads to a super fight between the rap star and his fierce rival, Jake Paul.
