Manchester United have released a statement following assault accusations made against Mason Greenwood by a young woman.
An 18-year-old woman has made a series of social media posts showing injuries that she claims the United footballer inflicted. One image shows her busted and bleeding lip. Others show bruising to her face and body.
Greenwood accuser posts an audio clip
The alleged victim also posted an audio clip in which listeners can hear an argument between a man and a woman. The man appears to want sexual intercourse while the woman does not. Despite her protestations, the man insists on proceeding with the act.

Woman: “No, I don’t want to have sex.”
Man: “I don’t give a f**k what you want. Shut up talking to me —stop.”
Woman: “Stop putting your d**k there.”
Man: “I’m going to f**k you, you t**t.”
Woman: “I don’t want to have sex with you.”
Man: “I don’t care if you don’t want to have f***ing sex with me, do you hear me?”
Man United release statement response
Manchester United is aware of the allegations and released a statement.
“We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media. We will not make any further comments until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”
Greater Manchester Police are aware of the allegations surrounding Mason Greenwood and will likely conduct a full investigation.
Greenwood’s career at Man United
Mason Greenwood is one of the most promising young footballers in England.
He burst onto the scene for United as a teenager in 2019, scoring 35 times in 129 senior appearances for the club. He is considered a vital member of the first team.
