Manchester United closing in on Ousmane Dembele

Manchester United have set their sights on Ousmane Dembele, with the club set to make its move in the summer transfer window.

With Jim Ratcliffe, giving the Premier League side a surge of momentum, fans are hopeful that their long-suffering team can make a return to its glory days. And with the appointment of new Chief Executive, Omar Berrada, from Manchester City, it looks like their dreams could come to fruition. However, in order to make a real impact on the pitch, they need to start bringing in some big names. And with their eyes firmly locked on Dembele, it looks like the Manchester club is doing just that.

Is Ousmane Dembele coming to Manchester United?

Spanish source, Todo Fichajes, claims that United is keen to release Antony at the end of the season, and bring in his countryman as a replacement. To the delight of supporters, it appears that PSG is more than open to a sale. The Ligue 1 powerhouses have set a price of £42.6 million, which the English team are willing to match.

The icon announced himself on the world stage with Borussia Dortmund before making the huge move to Barcelona. Alas, despite showcasing enormous talent, a plethora of injuries ruined his time in La Liga. Luckily, he got right back on the horse, making the switch back home to PSG.

And while he’s only scored one goal thus far in the 2023/24 campaign, it’s clear that under the right circumstances, he can still make a serious impact at the pinnacle of the sport.

And with United in need of a skilful playmaker, Old Trafford could be the perfect fit for the 26-year-old. The side currently sits in a disappointing 8th position. However, if they could acquire the signature of Demeble and a couple of other heavy hitters, who knows where they could be next season?
