Messi captured scoring worldie free-kick before Brazil match

Prior to the madness of Brazil vs Argentina last night, fans were treated to some truly special warm-up moments from the one and only Lionel Messi.

While he may have played a role in helping his nation lift the Copa America trophy earlier this summer there’s still one honour that eludes him – the World Cup. He came close back in 2014 only to fall short at the hands of a strong German side in the final, and seven years later, Leo knows this could be his last chance to make history on the international stage.

Picture perfect precision

The big story coming out of the game against Brazil was the fact it was abandoned due to protests from Brazilian health officials. Alas, before the fixture had even kicked off, there was a great video released of 34-year-old Messi proving why he’s one of the greatest of all-time.

Sure, there may not be a wall in the way or thousands of fans in attendance, but the manner in which he guides the ball into the top corner so effortlessly is mesmerising to watch.

Argentina have one more qualifier to prepare for in the current international break before Messi heads back to the French capital where his journey with new club Paris Saint-Germain continues.
