From winning heavyweight titles to generally being one of the scariest men the sport has ever seen, “Iron Mike” has been through his fair share of ups and downs across a career full of drama.
Nowadays he’s keeping busy between his podcast and the occasional exhibition bout, with the latter proving to the world that power is definitely the last thing to go.

In a recent article, Tyson’s “secrets” were put out there for the world to see – including details of what his day-to-day fitness regime used to look like.
Early Morning
- Wake up at 4am
- 3-5 mile run
- 400 pushups and squats each
Noon
- Three rounds of calisthenics (sit-ups, push-ups, shrugs, neck bridges)
- 200 sit-ups, 50 dips, 50 push-ups, 50 shrugs with weight
- 10 rounds of sparring

Mid-Afternoon
- 4-6 rounds of sparring
- Punching bag, slip bag, speed bag, focus mitts, head movement
- Jump rope
- 60-minutes on workout bike
- Three sets of calisthenics
Early Evening
- Five sets of calisthenics
- Shadow boxing
After Dinner
- 30-minute bike cardio
Late Evening
- Homework and film study on opponent
If that isn’t a commitment to the cause of being heavyweight champion of the world, we don’t know what is – and even at 55 this guy is still putting most of us to shame.
