Leicester City striker Patson Daka made club history for the Foxes last night – and it only took him one game to do it.
Leicester have had an uneven start to the season both in the Premier League and Europa League but in the blink of an eye, all of that was forgotten as Patson Daka gave new life to their continental campaign.
After Spartak Moscow went 2-0 up in Russia, Daka suddenly flipped a switch and scored four goals in just over 30 minutes. Leicester eventually won 4-3, giving them a real boost in their push to qualify for the knockout stage.
Daka has been highlighted as a man who can do special things ever since arriving from RB Salzburg earlier this year – and yet even the most optimistic Leicester fan couldn’t have imagined the 23-year-old would pull off something like this.
The fact that the club is up to 2nd place in Group C is a huge boost but beyond that, the history books are likely to remember this night for another reason.
?⚽️ | NEW: Patson Daka is now the joint top goalscorer in Leicester’s European football history, with all of his goals achieved in one game

In less time than it takes to complete one half of football, Patson Daka became the joint-top European goalscorer for Leicester City alongside the one and only Jamie Vardy.
With three fixtures left to be played in the group stage you’d have to imagine one of the two, if not both of them, will be able to add to their tally in an attempt to gain sole ownership of the record.
For now, though, Leicester’s focus now shifts to Sunday when they head down to the capital to take on Brentford.
