Legendary WWE manager Paul Heyman has made some interesting comments about a future Hall of Fame induction.
The 56-year-old has had a monumental impact on the company across two spells. His roles have included working as a producer, lead writer, executive and, most notably, as a manager.
Throughout the majority of his WWE career, Heyman has aligned himself as the manager of Brock Lesnar. The pair have developed a great friendship outside of the ring. The ‘Beast Incarnate’ has won 10 world titles in the ring, with the majority of those achieved with Heyman by his side.
He was also present when Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s streak.
However, Heyman has turned on Lesnar in more recent times and aligned himself with the ‘Tribal Chief’, Roman Reigns. As the ‘special counsel’ of the current longest-serving Universal Champion, the 56-year-old remains a prominent figure on TV.
Heyman is renowned for his incredible skills on the mic, although he has notably taken slightly more of a backseat as Reigns’s pedigree as world champion has continued to rise.
What do WWE stars say about Paul Heyman?
Speaking to esteemed combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, Reigns credited his current manager for his creative abilities.
He explained (quotes as per eWrestling): “He would do whatever it’s gonna take to bring out the best performance, to bring out the best in the person he’s working with. The talent he’s currently within creative with.”

In an interview on The Michael Kay Show in March, Lesnar was quick to praise his long-term friend. He also made a nod towards their recent WWE rivalry.
He said: “Yeah, I mean, he’s a dear friend. I mean, in real life. A backstabbing friend right now. I think we all have somebody like that. [Our friendship] has just developed.”
Heyman is also regarded by many as one of the top managers, and promo workers, in the history of WWE. Alongside Reigns and Lesnar, he has also worked with the likes of CM Punk – who he also has a real-life friendship with – and Big Show.
Heyman comments on possible Hall of Fame induction
There has long been talk that Paul Heyman deserves an imminent induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, given his incredible career.
The 56-year-old has been in the company for 15 years across his two spells. Therefore, it is no wonder that fans feel like now is the time for him to receive the induction.
There would possibly be question marks about who would induct him. You would have to imagine that it would be Brock Lesnar.
However, Heyman has made the interesting claim that he isn’t interested in any Hall of Fame induction while working alongside Reigns.
He told 101 WRIF: “I have absolutely no desire to go into the Hall of Fame while I am special counsel to ‘The Tribal Chief’, Roman Reigns.
“And putting together a Hall of Fame run simply based on what we do as the Undisputed Champion right now, let alone everything else that has been accomplished beforehand. So while we’re in the middle of this run, it would make no sense for me to go into the Hall of Fame.”
WWE fans will hope that Heyman’s comments signal his intention to stay in WWE for a long time to come.
