Lionel Messi was at it again for Barcelona last night.
With Barca searching for an early goal against LaLiga strugglers Huesca, the Argentinian received the ball 30 yards from goal.
He then evaded a tackle with an exquisite touch and found space before curling a stunning effort into the top corner, off the bar. The Huesca ‘keeper had no chance of keeping it out.
It’s the type of goal we’ve seen Messi score time and time again over the years. But there’s no doubting this was a special strike.
And that was certainly evident in the commentary immediately after the goal.
“Are you kidding me?”
beIN SPORTS commentator Ray Hudson, known for his flamboyant use of metaphors, phrases and wordplay, let out what can only be described as a loud scream down the microphone when the strike from Messi crossed the line.
He then shouts: “Wow! Are you kidding me?
“Did the clocks go back last night? Because I think Messi just jumped over time here.”
A very apt description for another wonderful Messi goal.
Hudson may be a familiar voice to fans of the FIFA franchise. He once commentated over EA’s ‘Goals of the Year’ video for FIFA 17.

There was even a petition launched to have the 66-year-old and his fellow commentator, Phil Schoen, named as permanent commentators on FIFA 20.
Hudson began his playing career aged 17 with Newcastle United, before moving across to the USA. He has since spent time in the States as both a manager and commentator.
Messi, meanwhile, could reflect on a night where he produced yet another defining display.
The 34-year-old produced a further goal and assist as Barcelona triumphed 4-1. Oscar Mingueza and Pedri also got their names on the scoresheet.
Crucially, the victory keeps them in touch at the top of LaLiga. Ronald Koeman’s side sit four points behind leaders Atletico Madrid, with 11 games left to play.
