Real Madrid 2022/23 home kit ‘released’ – brings back iconic sleeves

When millions of fans worldwide buy your shirt every season, it’s essential to make an impact. And that’s exactly what Real Madrid have done, if the leaked pictures of their 2022/23 kit are anything to go by.

Throughout the campaign, Los Blancos have solidified themselves as head and shoulders above every other team in Spain. They cruised to La Liga glory and stand a match away from claiming a 13th European Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti has got his team playing beautiful football. The chemistry in the side is evident. Karim Benzema has hit the back of the net on 43 occasions in all competitions this season, whilst Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Rodrygo have all impressed.

So after conquering their country, it’s only fitting that they wear a kit fit for royalty. But it’s hard to create something of a high enough standard, especially considering that Real always provides the goods.

Their 2000-01 retro shirt with a blue collar and stripes made for a great fashion statement, and who could forget their 1996-97 jersey with dog prints on the shoulders? But as iconic as these designs were, we’re sure fans will love what the European greats have planned for next season.

Real Madrid kit 2022/23 ‘leaked

This year, they wanted to pay homage to their history, hence the return of the purple stripes. The new shirt will combine Madrid’s iconic white kit with black and an almost lavender colour on the shoulders. The sleeve colours were last seen on the 2007/08 La Liga-winning home shirt worn by the likes of Fabio Cannavaro, Raul and Guti.

Furthermore, they’ve struck gold with a classic polo collar.

The kit is one of several leaked adidas shirts that will be hitting the market in time for next season. According to claims, it has already been seen in official adidas stores.

However, with the gorgeous kit of the La Liga champions already revealed to the world, fans are counting down the days until they can put it on and head to the Bernabeu to cheer on their side.
