Sasha Banks unfollows multiple WWE alumni on Twitter, including Roman Reigns

WWE star Sasha Banks has unfollowed a number of leading wrestling figures on Twitter, including Roman Reigns.

Her social media clear-out comes after the stunning revelations at last night’s Monday Night Raw. Banks and her tag team champion teammate Naomi staged a walkout during the event, although the exact reason behind it is up for debate.

They were both told of their participation in a six-pack challenge in the main event of Raw. However, the pair did not show up, and the match switched to a singles fight between Becky Lynch and Asuka. Asuka defeated her rival, meaning she will take on Bianca Belair at the Hell in a Cell at the end of this month.

Following the news of their absence, WWE hashed together a backstage segment with Becky Lynch and Adam Pearce to explain the last-minute change.

Suggesting anger from those at the top, Raw commentator Corey Graves called out the pair for “summarily and unprofessionally” leaving the arena mid-broadcast.

The shocking events have caused controversy and fallout in the WWE community.

Tag team pair walk out

The New York Post reported that Banks and Naomi did not like the six-pack challenge creative, despite WWE scheduling Naomi to take the victory.

Banks took her concerns to a meeting with Vince McMahon, who reportedly decided not to change the narrative direction of the duo. Therefore, Sasha walked out, with Naomi doing the same in support.

Meanwhile, a WWE statement gave a slightly different viewpoint. The federation claimed that the pair felt “they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions”. In addition, WWE said that Banks and Naomi did not feel comfortable performing with some of their fellow wrestlers in the main event. Before the walkout, the match should have included Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H., Asuka, and Becky Lynch alongside the pair.

This, with the branding as “unprofessional” on a live broadcast, makes the relationship between WWE and Banks look unbelievably strained.

Now, Sasha Banks’ decision to unfollow a collection of people on Twitter has only fanned the flames further.

Who did Sasha Banks unfollow on Twitter?

Wrestling News have listed numerous big names in the wrestling world that can no longer count Banks as a follower.

Unsurprisingly, given the difficult nature of their rapport, Sasha Banks has stopped following boss Vince McMahon on Twitter. Additionally, she has unfollowed the official WWE account.

Also on her social media cull are fellow female wrestling stars Bayley and Becky Lynch. Roman Reigns, The Usos and Seth Rollins are all gone too.

Banks now follows just six accounts. She still has Naomi, Tamina Snuka, John Cena, and her cousin Snoop Dogg on the social media app. To go alongside the famous faces, Banks also follows two fan pages.
