Scott McKenna made huge blunder against Brazil

Going into the match, Scotland knew that a win would guarantee qualification to the Round of 32 in the FIFA World Cup 2026, while a draw would also likely secure a place. In all likelihood, the only thing that would leave them in a worrying position would be a loss, with even that still potentially being enough to get them through.

However, it took just seven minutes for things to start falling apart for the underdogs. Scott McKenna received the ball in the box, but took far too long to get rid of it, giving Rayan a chance to get his foot on the attempted pass, sending the ball flying towards Vinicius Junior.

The Brazilian superstar can hit the back of the net when the odds are heavily stacked against him, never mind when he’s left with an absolute sitter. The icon scored with ease, leaving McKenna devastated.
