Georges St-Pierre’s head coach Firas Zahabi has given his view on who the scariest street fighter is in mixed martial arts.
Zahabi, who is widely considered to be one of the best MMA coaches in the world, has been by the side of GSP for many years now.
Even after the iconic welterweight retired from the octagon he still worked with him to ensure St-Pierre maintains the unbelievable physique that helped him to become one of the greatest of all time.
Don’t mess with Stockton’s own
On the Tristar Gym YouTube channel, Zahabi spoke about one man who he believes to be one of the scariest guys you could ever meet on the streets – the one and only Nate Diaz.
“If you put him in a fight where there is no time limit, I think he beats 99 per cent of fighters. You can’t sub him. You can’t finish him.” He explained.
“The guy doesn’t stop walking forward. He puts volume on you. He is the scariest, in my opinion, street fighter in MMA.”

“I think if you had to fight him in the street, man, you are in a fight for your life. Ain’t going to be no judges standing you up between rounds.
“There’s no judge to come and give you the win. No, no. This guy ain’t going away.
“I think if he had a no time-limit fight with Leon Edwards, he beats Leon Edwards — and I have a tremendous admiration for Leon Edwards.”
One of the things that backs up this theory is the final minute of Diaz’s battle against Leon Edwards back at UFC 263.
On that night, Birmingham’s own Edwards managed to dictate the pace and dominate Diaz for pretty much 24 minutes of the five-round fight. Then, in one swift punch, Diaz had ‘Rocky’ on the ropes and almost finished him.
After losing via decision, Nate is expected to get back into the cage later this year.
