Steve Clarke fumed about being asked whether Scotland could still make the Round of 32

Going into the clash with Brazil, Scotland knew that a win would guarantee qualification to the next round, a draw would likely secure them a place in the knockout stages, and even a respectable loss would probably see them through. Alas, getting totally dominated certainly wasn’t the outcome they had in mind.

Following a Scott McKenna error, the floodgates opened, with the legendary team putting three past them.

Following the match, Steve Clarke was very upset.

When asked during his post-match interview about the game, he replied: “We made it difficult for ourselves, that’s it. We gave them the goals, we gave them the game they wanted, disappointing.”

Then, the interviewer asked: “Bit of a waiting game now, do you look at what’s to come?”

This question angered the boss, who replied: “I don’t even think about that, sorry. I don’t even think about that.”

He then stormed off.
