With the tournament a mere day away, fans are already split on who will lift the trophy on August 28. Most view world number one, Scottie Scheffler, as the favourite, having won four events already this year.

However, he’s not the only player who is in with a great chance of the win. If he plays his best golf, Rory McIlroy will likely be in contention for the win. Patrick Cantlay will be looking to scoop the big prize, as well as 2022 Open winner, Cameron Smith.

The competition, which will attract the eyeballs of viewers worldwide, has fans gripped on the edge of their seats. And with so many people watching, a lot of cash is up for grabs.

What is the Tour Championship prize money 2022?

Scottie Scheffler banked a massive $2.7 million in prize money when he emerged victorious in the 2022 Masters in April. It was his first career major victory. The American then followed that up with a second place at the US Open.

This week, he is on the hunt for more. If he wins on August 28, he will make six times that amount.
