Tyson Fury calls Usyk vs Joshua 2 “bulls**t”, confirms he is unretired

Tyson Fury has described the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua as “bulls**t”, and has announced that he is coming out of retirement.

Usyk beat Joshua in their title rematch by split decision on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia. In doing so, he retains the unified heavyweight title belts.

The Ukrainian finished the fight in an exceptionally strong fashion, and he was up on two out of three judges’ scorecards.

After the fight, following Joshua’s controversial X-rated speech, attention immediately turned to who Usyk would fight next. The name of Tyson Fury has long been identified as a potential opponent for the Ukrainian. He said as much after the bout, confirming that he will only fight Fury.

Usyk stated: “I’m sure that Tyson Fury is not retired yet. I’m sure, I’m convinced he wants to fight me.

“I want to fight him, and if I’m not fighting Tyson Fury, I’m not fighting at all.”

How did Tyson Fury respond to the fight?

The ‘Gypsy King’ was closely watching the fight between Usyk and Joshua – and delivered his overall verdict in typical Tyson Fury fashion.

On a video posted to Instagram, the 32-year-old exclaimed: “After watching that, both of them were s***e! It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I have ever seen. It was bulls**t. Come on!

“I would annihilate both of them on the same night. F***ing s***e. Get your f***ing chequebook out, because the ‘Gypsy King’ is here to stay. Forever.”

Tyson Fury confirms return to boxing

Following his comments, Tyson Fury confirmed in a separate video that he would be coming out of retirement – and sent a message to Usyk in the process.

The Morecambe-born fighter said he would fully retire only last week, but fans expected him to reverse his decision soon enough. And that is exactly what happened.

He explained: “I’ve just seen Joshua lose for the second time to Usyk. Out of his depth. However, England has been relieved of its belts yet again. As usual.

“But there is a remedy, and a solution, that I can suggest. If you want those belts back, then send in the ‘Gyspy Barbarian’ of England. Come on! Send me in.

“I will relieve the Ukrainian dosser of his belts, like I did the last Ukrainian dosser [Wladimir Klitschko]. But it’s not going to be cheap. If you want the best, you’ve got to pay.

“It’s going to be very expensive. So get your f***ing chequebook out, and I will relieve that Ukrainian dosser of them belts.”
