Leeds United may be signing Dan James for £25 million, but it doesn’t seem as if every fan is going to be happy about it.
The Yorkshire club have started off the new campaign in a manner similar to how many would’ve predicted – they’ve put themselves out there, scored in every game and conceded a whole lot of goals in the process.
Still, United are currently lingering in the bottom half of the table and while some fear they could fall victim to the dreaded second season syndrome, others are of the belief that they’ll eventually come good and push towards a top 10 finish.
Will James succeed with Leeds?
One way in which the club has attempted to improve their fortunes in that regard is by agreeing to sign Dan James from Manchester United for a fee of around £25 million. The reaction seems to be mostly positive from their fanbase but as per the following footage of their 5-1 defeat to the Red Devils earlier this season, that may not be a universal feeling.
“You’re too s**t, you’re too s**t, you’re too s**t to play for Leeds! You’re too s**t to play for Leeds!”
Away days tend to attract fans who are a bit more negative than the overall consensus but if he has a few bad games to kickstart his career up north, problems could soon arise within the Elland Park faithful.
James will hope to debut and prove his doubters wrong when Leeds host Liverpool on September 12.
