A lot was made of Real Madrid’s frosty parting message to Gareth Bale, however this isn’t any warmer from Aston Villa.
Confirming the news that Mbwana Samatta will be joining Fenerbache on an initial season-long loan, the club didn’t mince words in their official announcement.
“Ally Samatta has joined Turkish side Fenerbache.” The club website reads
“We would like to wish Ally all the best.” It closes. That’s it.
Samatta didn't work out at Villa, sure, but he:

—Scored in a ? cup final
—Became the first ?? Tanzanian to play in PL and score
—Started the majority of post lockdown games as Villa survived
—Lacked the quality, but not the heart

“I know how big a club Fenerbahce is,” Samatta said on his move.
“I am happy to be here in such a family because it will be a new and big challenge for me.
“Fenerbahce has a lot of supporters and they always want to win. I also want to win. I came with this request, I am very happy and I hope we will win many trophies.”
Straight to the point, I guess?
