EXCLUSIVE: Conor McGregor could switch the octagon for the ring, with David Feldman adamant ‘The Notorious’ will fight in BKFC.
With the Irishman utterly in love with the sport, it looks like it’s just a matter of time until he finally unleashes his lethal left hand without the protection of the gloves.
Conor McGregor could fight in BKFC in 2027
BKFC is growing at a rapid rate. The company, which will host an epic collision between former boxing world champion, Jamel Herring, and Nate Maness on May 22, and has just signed ex-UFC star, Darren Till, is currently riding a wave of momentum. And with that in mind, founder, David Feldman, is determined to get Conor McGregor to compete under his promotional banner.
WOW: Boxing icon was forced to spar Manny Pacquiao for one vital reason
In an exclusive interview with Sporf, the American exclaimed: “We’ll get him in the ring. He has two fights left with the UFC that he has to honour, and one of them looks like it’s going to happen in July, and the next one probably early next year. So, we’re probably talking around summertime of 2027, that’s the possibility of seeing Conor McGregor in there. Obviously, everybody is going to be gunning for him, but he has the most upside in BKFC — he loves it. We’ve not only become great business partners, but we’ve become great friends outside of this. So, I think there are some things we can push forward to entice him to take the gloves off.”
David Feldman reveals whether Darren Till could fight Mike Perry
Having just signed Till, an ecstatic Feldman is teasing that a very big clash for ‘The Gorilla’ could be just around the corner.
He beamed: “I really got excited after the Luke Rockhold fight. I thought it was time to light the fire and make sure we brought him over. We couldn’t be any more excited to sign Darren Till. We’re going to walk him into BKFC on May 30 in Birmingham, UK. Then, in September or October, we’re going to have a huge fight for him.”
When asked whether the monstrous showdown in question could be against ‘Platinum’, the businessman replied: “It could be. I think a lot depends on Mike Perry’s performance against Nate Diaz, but I think it’s a natural fit. There are a couple of other natural fits as well that I’m excited to be in negotiations with, so there’s going to be something very big that the fans are going to get excited about, not just a good fight, but a really big name and a good story behind it.”
