WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is set to come out of retirement to wrestle again at the age of 73, according to reports – and he looks to be getting into shape in new training footage.
Flair is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.
The 73-year-old retired from WWE in 2008 after losing to Shawn Michaels in a Career-Threatening Match at WrestleMania 24.
The ‘Nature Boy’ has not wrestled since in WWE, although he has competed in other promotions.
Flair’s last official match came in TNA in September 2011. He fought Sting in a losing effort before announcing his full retirement the following year.
Since then, Flair would go on to re-sign with WWE. He was involved in numerous storylines. They include the reformation of his villainous stable Evolution and a controversial feud between his real-life daughter Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans.
The ‘Nature Boy’ would once again depart the company in 2021, and is currently a free agent.
Ric Flair posts wrestling training video on social media
Ric Flair has recently fuelled fan rumours that he is preparing for an in-ring return at the age of 73.
He recently posted footage to his Twitter account, which shows him training with Jay Lethal. Lethal is currently wrestling in AEW and is a two-time ROH World Champion.
Flair is seen taking kicks and suplexes. He even pulls off some of his trademark moves, including a rake to the eyes and chops to the chest.
Flair then pins his opponent in the corner before beating him down. Given his age, he looks in remarkable shape.
Flair lands an inch-perfect arm drag and a low blow to finish the clip.

Meltzer explained (quotes via WrestlingNews): “Ric Flair is training to wrestle again. The stories about his return are accurate.
“He is planning to wrestle again, yes. I don’t know more details. A match that he is training for but not right away.
“I guess it will get announced when it gets announced, if it happens. Something like this could fall through, he could get hurt in training.”
