Inter Milan 2022/23 away kit ‘leaked’ – and it pays incredible homage to club motto

The new Inter Milan 2022/23 away kit has been ‘leaked’ online – and it appears to pay homage to the club’s motto in an incredible way.

After a lean period over recent times, Inter have once again established themselves as one of the best sides in Serie A. They are just two points behind leaders and fierce rivals AC Milan in the league. There are two games still to play. In addition, they defeated Juventus on May 11 to win the Coppa Italia.

Simone Inzaghi’s side are riding the crest of a wave right now. They will hope they can take that positive form forward to capitalise on any potential Milan slip-ups.

When it comes to kits, Inter produce incredible blue and black numbers year on year to play in at the San Siro. Their away kits, meanwhile, are generally blue and white. In 2012/13, however, Inter opted for a full red away kit, which lasted only one season.

In 2020/21, they changed the away kit design entirely. Gone was the pure white and blue combination. In its place was a checked design, with blue and black serving as the outlines.

The reception to this season’s design has been primarily positive. The presence of two snakes – paying a retro tribute – on the shirt is a nice touch, but the lack of long-standing shirt sponsor Pirelli on any of the club’s kits has resulted in a partially negative response. In its place is Socios.com, the cryptocurrency company.

For 2022/23, according to a ‘leaked’ design, Inter have changed things up again. The result is stunning.

As reported by Footy Headlines, Inter will keep a similar colour combination for next season’s away kit.

However, according to leaked photos, the club will opt for an ‘aqua blue’ tone to go along with the white colour. In addition, the badge will be turquoise and white.

Furthermore, Inter’s sponsor for the 2022/23 season is the DigitalBits Foundation. The logo takes centre stage as the primary shirt sponsor. DigitalBits is a company that specialises in cryptocurrency. The club confirmed the deal in September of last year.

However, the new away kit’s most striking – and unique – feature is seen within the ‘aqua blue’ colour. It depicts a map of the world.

On the face of it, this perhaps doesn’t seem like a special feature. However, upon founding the club in 1908, there was a statement released by its founding members.

It reads: “This wonderful night bestows us with the colour of our crest: black and blue against a gilded backdrop of stars. It shall be called International, because we are brothers of the world.”

The use of the word ‘International’, which translates to ‘Internazionale’ in Italian, is particularly noteworthy, with the club’s full name, of course, being Internazionale Milan.

Inter will, therefore, pay homage to times gone by with their 2022/23 away kit. Fans will hope that great success comes along with it.
