We’re sure this one will end up in the ‘divisive’ column – this summer, a blockbuster YouTube vs TikTok boxing event is set to take place.
Over the course of the last few years we’ve seen YouTube boxing rise up as a juggernaut of a trend. It started with Joe Weller vs KSI and bled into a whole new realm that involved the Paul brothers.
Logan Paul went to war with KSI but, bizarrely, it’s Jake Paul who has been able to breathe new life into the idea courtesy of his wins over Nate Robinson and Ben Askren.
Now, TikTok stars are about to throw their names into the hat, creating what can only be described as one of the most bizarre sporting events in recent memory.
Who is fighting?
As of this writing, the ‘Battle of the Platforms’ by Social Gloves will feature the following fights – with YouTubers on the left and TikTok stars on the right.
Tanner Fox vs Nick Austin
Faze Jarvis vs Michael LE
DDG vs Nate Wyatt
TBA (fans pick) vs Tayler Holder
Danny Duncan vs TBD (fans pick)
Deji vs Vinnie Hacker
Austin McBroom vs Bryce Hall

Where can you watch?
The fight is set to be streamed through the LiveXLive platform and will, of course, be a PPV event that will be broadcast live around the globe.
What’s the venue?
While it hasn’t been 100% confirmed as of this writing, LiveXLive’s social media accounts have indicated that it will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

When is it happening?
The initial date was set as June 5 but that appears to have been pushed back to June 12. While there’s no confirmation as to why that might have happened, some speculate that it could be due to the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul event that will happen on that same Saturday night.
