The Nigerian smashed the ball into the back of the net in a moment that sent his fans into raptures.

The versatile footballer, renowned for his pace and finishing ability, is writing his name in the history books, having accumulated eight Champions League goals.

Currently, only two players from his country lead him in the rankings.

Victor Osimhen, who had an exceptional campaign this year before Galatasaray exited the competition, has scored an impressive 16 times.

Then, former Inter Milan and Newcastle sensation, Obafemi Martins, has nine, meaning Lookman is just one goal away from joining his countryman with a silver medal.

And the 28-year-old could, in theory, surpass the former forward this season, as Atletico now have a semi-final ahead, in which the formidable operator will be looking to add to his tally.
