Some things in this life are certain, death, taxes and Ajax releasing a shirt that’s nice enough to wear to your wedding.
This year is no different, as the Dutch club have unveiled a simply spectacular looking third shirt for the upcoming season.
A classy, understated number, the shirt features two-tone black and grey with a striking gold trim that rounds everything off nicely.
We often see loud, overbearing sponsors ruin kits, so having Ziggo coloured the same as the trim, badge and Adidas branding is a seriously nice touch.
Inspired by Ajax’s first European Cup glory when they beat Panathinaikos 2-0 at Wembley in 1971, it’s surely one of the best we’ve seen from the upcoming season’s kit releases.
There’s also an extremely good announcement video to coincide with the release that you can watch below.

The shirt is available to preorder now, and makes a great addition to the previously announced – and equally as glorious – home and away kits that the club will sport in the coming months.
Surely this is going to take some beating?
