WWE star Alexa Bliss has updated fans on her expected return to televised programming.
Bliss hasn’t been seen on TV since the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Saudi Arabia back in February. She took part in the event’s eponymous match against Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H. and eventual winner Bianca Belair.
She was the penultimate entrant in the match. Bliss eliminated Morgan by pinfall before being the final competitor eliminated by Belair.
WWE had been slowly building up her return to TV over the weeks before Elimination Chamber. After losing her Raw Women’s Championship match to Charlotte Flair at Extreme Rules in September, Bliss took an extended break from WWE.
She subsequently underwent sinus surgery. Bliss posted the surgery results to her Instagram recently – in a video that was bizarrely deemed as ‘too graphic‘ by the social media company.
Following her Elimination Chamber return, fans expected the 30-year-old to return to regular programming. However, that hasn’t been the case. Bliss has not been active in WWE since. She did not appear at WrestleMania 38.
Fightful (as per Wrestling News) claimed that the former Raw Women’s Champion had expressed her frustration to Vince McMahon over her creative direction.
However, she was namedropped by Sonya Deville during a recent promo. In addition, she is currently in the number two position on WWE’s internal Raw babyface listings, suggesting a return is imminent.
Alexa Bliss responds to question about WWE return
Bliss got married earlier this month. That would likely explain why a post-WrestleMania return has not yet materialised.
Speaking to the Adam’s Apple YouTube channel, however, the 30-year-old has given a clear indication of when she is able to return.
She stated: “Hopefully soon. I’m just waiting for the call. Yeah [I’m 100% healed]. I’ve been ready to go since before Saudi Arabia.”
When asked about how she approaches speaking to McMahon, she replied: “Vince is amazing, he’s incredible. He’s super approachable. He has a big presence, it’s always a bit nerve-racking talking to Vince, but he’s great.”
WWE fans will hope that McMahon and creative employees have plans for Bliss to return to televised programming soon.
