The Australian, renowned for his technical brilliance and unrelenting will to win, will look to make the next successful defence of his title in his second reign on the 145-pound throne.

His opponent, who has compiled a 20-0 record, has long awaited his opportunity to fight for gold. In his last outing, Evloev controversially beat Lerone Murphy at UFC London.
