In a tremendous battle, Dustin Stoltzfus overcame Mansur Abdul-Malik. Following an extremely heavy slam, which he executed brilliantly in the opening round, the Philadelphia brawler went for the finish in the second segment.
After landing a very heavy right hand, the power puncher locked in a rear-naked choke, which forced his opponent to submit.
The surprise victory impressed Joe Rogan.
During the live broadcast, the commentator shrieked: “Huge upset. What a victory for Dustin Stoltzfus. He did it in a way most people didn’t think he could win.”
With the two competitors in the octagon having previously trained together, Jon Anik explained: “An XTreme Couture fighter left his gym to fight Mansur Abdul-Malik and came through with the victory.”

It looks like there’s no hard feelings between the pair of warriors, with Stoltzfus claiming he’s hoping to spar with his old teammate in the near future.
During his post-fight interview, he said: “Mansur, you’re a beast. I hope to be in the gym with you soon.”
When asked by Rogan whether past training sessions provided him with the perfect preparation for the contest, the mixed martial artist replied: “Not so much. I thought I had a better read on his movement than I really did. He’s a great guy, so when he’s training, he’s not trying to knock me out like he was tonight, so that definitely makes a difference.”
