Antoine Griezmann does not believe Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the top five greatest players to have ever graced the game.
In his career, the Portuguese superstar has proven his skills beyond doubt. Blessed with incredible talent and an unrivalled work ethic, Ronaldo has mesmerised crowds around the world, scoring remarkable goals, en route to winning Premier League, La Liga and Serie A titles as well as picking up the Ballon d’Or on five occasions.
However, despite his sensational achievements, Griezmann still favours the accolades of other players.
Antoine Griezmann believes Lionel Messi is better than Cristiano Ronaldo
Having won the World Cup and the Europa League, Antoine Griezmann knows a thing or two about football.
Therefore, during an interview, Spanish streamer, Ibai Llanos, jumped at the opportunity to ask the Frenchman for his top five greatest players of all time. And Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t make the cut.
The Atletico Madrid star, ranked free kick specialist and global phenomenon, David Beckham, at number five, before slotting tactical genius, Johann Cruyff, in at the four spot.
Griezmann then gave the bronze medal to fellow World Cup winner Diego Maradona, before, likely to the annoyance of Ronaldo, gifting Lionel Messi with the silver.
The 34-year-old then revealed his number one, claiming that Zinedine Zidane is the best to have ever laced up the boots.
