Brock Lesnar makes WWE crowd laugh with knock-knock joke about Bobby Lashley

Brock Lesnar has been an immense source of entertainment during his latest stint in the WWE.

The Beast Incarnate started 2022 off with a bang. At WWE Day 1, he defeated Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Big E, and Bobby Lashley in a fatal five-way match.

After Lesnar’s victory, the remaining four wrestlers fought to see who the first challenger for the title would be. Lashley, who took the win, will face Lesnar on January 30 (UK time).

It’s bound to be a fascinating fight, with Lesnar’s cheeky attitude providing an amusing contrast to Lashley’s stone-faced professionalism. Both fighters have already started to rile each other up by exchanging some heated words on Monday Night Raw.

Brock Lesnar drops the mic on WWE Monday Night Raw

Joined by his manager and friend Paul Heyman, Lesnar stepped into the ring with characteristic confidence. As comfortable with the mic as he is throwing punches, he let Lashley have the first word.

Lashley’s introductory rant was a standard WWE taunt. After admitting that it was an honour to share the ring with him, ‘The All Mighty’ teased Lesnar by claiming that The Beast had been avoiding him for 20 years:

“As one super-athlete to another super-athlete, it’s an honour to be able to look at you right in the eye – and with all due respect, tell you that for twenty years, you have been ducking and running from me.”

The Beast soon raised the stakes with his snappy comeback, reminding Lashley of his superior status as a wrestler.

“With all due respect, it’s an honour for me to be in this ring with me.

“For the last 20 years, I’ve been winning championships in this ring and other rings. So that doesn’t fall on me, Bobby Lashley. That falls on you.”

Lashley remained unruffled, mocking Lesnar’s attempt at doing a stand-up comedy bit. And that’s when Lesnar had his big mic-drop moment.

Lesnar started a “knock-knock” joke, calling Paul Heyman over, setting Lashley up as the punchline. Once Heyman sheepishly asked, “Who’s there?” Lesnar cheekily replied with a single word: “Bobby.”

Fans in the crowd immediately provided the zinger, shouting “Bobby who?” before Heyman even had the chance to open his mouth. Half-smile on his face, Lesnar finished the joke off with a smug “Exactly” that left Lashley simmering with rage.

It was a cheap shot, but it got the crowd going ahead of Lesnar’s title defence against Lashley at Royal Rumble. The Beast Incarnate, who has only recently reclaimed the WWE crown, will lock horns with Lashley on Sunday, January 30 at 01.00 UK Time.

A thunderous match between two of the most extravagant personalities in wrestling, Lashley vs Lesnar already looks like a classic.
