Carl Froch offers to come out of retirement and fight the Paul brothers

Carl Froch has said he would be interested in coming out of retirement to fight Jake or Logan Paul – if they call him out.

Jake Paul has won both of his fights at professional level, most recently knocking out ex-NBA star Nate Robinson.

The 24-year-old will return to the ring on April 17 when he takes on former UFC fighter Ben Askren.

His brother Logan, meanwhile, lost his sole professional fight to fellow YouTuber KSI via split decision in 2019. He is scheduled to take on Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition match later this year.

Froch retired in 2015 after beating George Groves in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley.

He was asked for his opinion on Jake Paul by iFL TV, and gave a rather definitive response about YouTuber boxing.

“I wish he’d [Jake] call me out. Easy money. All them YouTubers are easy money, let’s be honest,” he said.

“Come on, they can’t fight. Swinging handbags.

“[KSI v Logan Paul] was a decent little fight, white collar fight, it was ok, and they properly had a go as well, swinging away.”

Froch could fight the Paul brothers

Froch also discussed the exhibition fight between Mayweather and Conor McGregor in 2017, which ‘Money’ won via technical knockout in round 10.

He said that Mayweather put in a “really good performance” on the night and added that he “made it work”.

He then turned his attention back to the Paul brothers.

The 43-year-old admitted: “Jake Paul, Logan Paul, whichever other YouTuber you want to pull out of the bag, I have got absolutely no interest at all unless they want to call me out.

“I’d go and smash them all to bits.”

Will we ever see Froch return to the ring and face either of the Paul brothers? The ball now appears to be squarely in their court.
