Yannick Carrasco interrupted an interview with Belgium team-mate Eden Hazard to taunt him about Atletico Madrid’s LaLiga title win.
Carrasco was part of the Atletico Madrid side that won the LaLiga title on the final day of last season, for the first time in seven years.
The title race went down to the final minutes of the season. Luis Suarez scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid to seal the LaLiga crown for Atletico.
Hazard’s Real Madrid also won 2-1 thanks to two goals in the last five minutes from Karim Benzema and Luka Modric. However, the victory against Villarreal wasn’t enough for Los Blancos to claim the title as they needed Atletico to drop points.
It ended a tough season for Real, who went trophyless for the first season since 2009/10 and saw manager Zinedine Zidane resign from his post.
Now on international duty, Hazard was taking part in an interview in Belgium when Carrasco approached, with the midfielder seemingly keen to rub in the disappointment.
He shouted ‘Campeones’ in Hazard’s face before laughing and quickly moving out of shot.

Hazard and Carrasco could end up featuring alongside each other at the Euros. Both men are established as Belgium regulars.
Hazard is Belgium’s captain, and featured eight times in Euro 2020 qualification, scoring five goals.
His two-season spell at Real has been heavily disrupted by injury. However, he has recovered from his latest injury – suffered in March – and has been named in the Roberto Martinez’s squad.
Martinez’s side reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup. They lost to France before defeating England in the third place play-off.
