WWE Hall of Famer Chyna has been included in the WWE 2K22 game as part of their legends roster.
Chyna was a trailblazer for female wrestlers during her time in the company. She was a one-time winner of the Intercontinental Championship and Women’s Championship, and was once the number one contender for the WWF Championship.
She also competed in the Royal Rumble. The first two years of her WWF career, beginning in 1997, were spent as part of the stable D-Generation-X, which featured Triple H, Shawn Michaels and, for a short spell, ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude.
Chyna left the WWF in 2001. She claimed in a 2015 interview with WrestlingInc.com that she was told she was “not needed” in the company and was “abruptly let go”.
Furthermore, the company attempted to avoid referring to the ‘Ninth Wonder of the World’ on their programming between her 2001 departure and her death in 2016, aged 46.
In 2019, she received a posthumous induction into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of DX. Triple H hinted in an interview with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin in 2015 that she had not been inducted previously because of her entrance into the adult film industry.
When she was inducted, he told ESPN that she “absolutely 100 per cent deserved it”.
Is this the first time Chyna has featured in a WWE game since her death?
Chyna has featured in three WWE games since her death in 2016. However, she didn’t appear in a single game between the years 2000 and 2019.
She featured in WWE 2K20 as a downloadable playable character as part of the SmackDown 20th Anniversary Pack.
Chyna was also included in the WWE 2K Backgrounds game released a year later. Her inclusion as part of the WWE 2K22 legends roster will mark her third appearance in WWE games since her death.
Announcing the news on Twitter, her family quoted: “Don’t treat me like a woman, don’t treat me like a man, don’t treat me like you know me, just treat me for who I am.”

In addition to Chyna, several other WWE legends were in the latest 2K22 roster announcement. They are as follows:
- Chyna – 87 rating
- Booker T – 88
- Big Boss Man – 81
- ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage – 88
Other legends already confirmed for the game include ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. The full confirmed roster so far can be found here.
