Dana White confirms Khabib Nurmagomedov won’t be returning

Dana White has confirmed that Khabib Nurmagomedov won’t be reversing his retirement decision.

‘The Eagle’ hung up his gloves at UFC 254 in October last year, after defeating Justin Gaethje.

However Khabib had hinted that should the circumstances be right, he could be tempted back into the octagon.

More recently the murmurs regarding a potential return had seemed to be a little more positive. However, White has now put any hopes to bed, sharing a snap of him and the UFC icon on Twitter.

“29-0 it is. He is” Dana Wrote.

“Officially retired. It was incredible to watch you work @TeamKhabib thank you for EVERYTHING and enjoy whatever is next my friend.”

White also told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira will now face off for the lightweight title at UFC 262 on May 15.

With his record of 29-0, Nurmagomedov will undoubtedly go down as one of the most dominant and greatest fighters in the history of the sport.
